The Officer Collin Rose 2K9 Memorial Run and 5K will be held Saturday October 12, 2019 at the Matthaei Complex on the campus of Wayne State University in honor of Collin Rose of the Wayne State University Police Department who was killed in the line of duty on Nov. 23, 2016. 

Participants can enter the 2K9 Run/Walk and participate with their dog or enter the 5K Run/Walk for humans only.  All participants must sign a liability waiver and all dogs must be leashed, licensed, vaccinated and be social with other dogs and people.   Both events will start and finish in the end zone of the Tom Adams field.  The 5K will take runners through the Wayne State University campus while the 2K route will loop the athletic complex.  

This unique and inspiring event sold out last year so be sure to register early to guarantee your spot and event shirt!  The event will start and finish from the Matthaei Complex located at 5101 John C Lodge Fwy.  There is ample onsite parking.

Register before September 20th to guarantee your event shirt.  Finisher medals to the top 300 finishers.

In consideration of the foregoing, I, for myself, waive and release any and all rights, claims and courses of action I have or may have against the Officer Collin Rose 2K9 Memorial Run & 5K, the Officer Collin Rose Memorial Inc., Wayne State University, EnMotive, Eastside Racing Company, Running Away LLC and its affiliates, their agents, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the 2019 Officer Collin Rose 2K9 Memorial Run & 5K and any pre- and post- event activities. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns. I understand that race officials reserve the right to refuse participation to any dog that appears to be hazardous to others or whose physical condition appears to be in jeopardy before or during the event. All dogs must be leashed, licensed, vaccinated and be social with other dogs and people. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times before, during, and after the event. Race officials will provide dog waste bags and trash containers; however, participants are responsible for their own pet waste. No strollers, skateboards, bicycles, or roller blades will be allowed on the course during this event. Only one dog per participant will be allowed on the course. I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this race that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my physical condition has been verified by a licensed Medical Doctor. By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above waiver. By signing below, I agree to the waiver and that I am 18 or older, or that I have the authority to register these participants and agree to the waiver for them. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising, without monetary payment to me.

By entering my name, I hereby give the electronic equivalent of my signature and I confirm that I have read and agree (on my own behalf and on behalf of my minor child(ren) or ward(s), if applicable), to the registration terms, privacy policy and terms of use. If I am registering any children under the age of eighteen or legally incapacitated adults, I represent and warrant that I am their parent or legal guardian.
